What was your favorite recent gift?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 10, 2007:
My mom gave me (for children's day, aka, I think she found something in Marshall's and wanted to share) this crystal laser-engraved holograph of two dolphins on a wave. You know those you see at mall kiosks, with the pixelated imaged somehow floating in the middle of glass? There's a blue sheet of glass on top, so if you put it in the light, the dolphins glow blue.
Anyway, I adore it. I think it's the first time my mom got me anything silly-seeming, or not elegant (though it is beautiful), or quirky, or just not-practical. Basically, it's the first time she got me a gift that I really, really love and will cherish forever. And it probably cost like $2. :D :D :D
